The Nyala's size is between a kudu and a bushbuck. They have a beautiful cape, with some distinct features. Only the males have horns, and the females are very different looking. They are much smaller and have a reddish colour cape as opposed to the males dark brown. The male has a
chevron mark on the face, white tipped mane and yellow socks. They enjoy the denser bush, and are often found in dry woodlands.Nyala bulls are not territorial. They are often found in small groups, with some solitary males around.
Also a fairly shy animal to spot, but they are well known at Induna Safaris.
